How your financial data is handled
This is the plain-language version of how DollarSeeds treats your data — the thing you actually want to know before putting your finances in an app. The formal version is the Privacy Policy; nothing here contradicts it.
DollarSeeds never touches your bank
The app has no bank connection feature at all. It never asks for your bank username or password, it holds no credentials that could leak, and it cannot see, move, or freeze a cent of your actual money. There is no third-party account aggregator in the middle.
Everything in DollarSeeds is there because you typed it — which also happens to be the point: logging a purchase by hand is the moment you actually feel where the money goes.
What we store
- Your account: the email address you sign up with.
- Your entries: the income, expenses, savings, and goal records you create — amounts, categories, titles, and dates.
- Diagnostics: pseudonymous analytics and crash reports that contain no financial figures, so bugs can be found and fixed.
That's the whole list. No contact list, no location tracking, no browsing history.
How it's protected
Your data travels between your phone and our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and lives in a managed cloud database with access restricted to your authenticated account. Nobody else's app session can read your records.
What we never do
- We never sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
- We never show ads, so nothing about your finances is used to target you.
- We never share your entries with third parties for marketing.
You can walk away completely
Deleting your account removes your profile and every financial record tied to it — immediately and permanently, right from Settings in the app. No emails to write, no waiting period, no "deactivation" that secretly keeps things. Full steps on the delete account page.
